Restaurant photography in Dubai: what it costs and what you get

Most venues ask the same first question: how much does a shoot cost? The honest answer is that it depends on what you need the content to do. Here is how we build a quote, and how to get more out of a single day.

Where the price starts

At ANAKHIN, photography is AED 700–800 per hour with edited photos the next day, and photo plus video together is AED 1,000 per hour. One or two hours cover a focused shoot — for example a set of dishes and drinks for a new menu, or content for one evening.

Larger productions — a full venue film, a launch campaign, a multi-day brunch series — are quoted from the brief, because crew, time on location and the number of finished deliverables change the work involved.

What actually drives the quote

Time on location. A two-hour menu shoot and a full service with guests are different days.

Number of set-ups. Every new table, light setting or room adds time. Planning the shot list in advance keeps this efficient.

Photo, film or both. Shooting stills and motion together on one day is usually the most cost-effective option, because the venue, styling and lighting are already in place.

Deliverables. Retouched photographs, a hero film, vertical cuts for Instagram and TikTok, and stories each take their own post-production time.

How to get more from one shoot day

Prepare the plates you most want to sell, not the whole menu. Five dishes shot beautifully do more than thirty shot quickly.

Plan around the light. Daylight venues look best in the morning or late afternoon; nightlife venues come alive once the room is dressed and lit for service.

Think in formats. Tell us where the content will live — website, delivery apps, social, print — so every frame is composed for its final use.

Book people, not just food. A bartender’s pour, a chef’s hands, guests at the table: the human moments are what make a venue feel alive.
